Janie texted coordinates to Julian. She simply docked the boat alongside several others, and sat on top, waiting for him.
No one would even expect her to be near water- to be anywhere.

Relieved to really see her boat between the others and the familiar figure on top of it, he quickly jumped over the railing and waved up to Janie.
"Hey Janie. So good to see you!"
no subject
"Julian!" Janie jumped down to meet him. "I've missed you so much!"
no subject
"I've missed you too! A ton!"
no subject
"It's been too long. Oh my, I thought I'd never see you again!" She hugs him tightly, never wanting to let go.
no subject
"Finally something that's feeling right again."
no subject
"I'm so sorry, it was never supposed to be for this long. Oh gods, you're really here!" She couldn't stop smiling.
"This is the only thing that feels right."
no subject
"What have you been doing?"
no subject
"So much. Trying to fix this mess. Let's not talk about me, Julian. You're more exciting and not as messy."
no subject
He grinned a bit and looked at Janie fondly. "I almost can't believe it's really you. It's all so confusing. Tell me at least, are you safe here?"
no subject
"It's me. You are wonderful just how you are." She's so happy to see Julian, she's got tears in her eyes.
"The only thing that matters right now is that we're here together."
no subject
"It is, for now. I'm so glad you could make it happen. I've been missing the boat too and our travels ... but you most of all."
no subject
"You know how to drive the boat?" She goes quiet, and stares at him for a moment, before giving him a quick kiss.
"We don't have long, Julian. I don't have long. Not until this is over. I've missed you so much. Every day. We have had such a great time together."
no subject
"I know ... so, how much time do we have? Enough for a short trip?"
no subject
"Yes." Janie says, after a moment of thinking. She smiles at Julian. "In all of time and space. Where and when? We will do whatever you want. I love that about us. We can do anything. "
no subject
"Awesome! Then let's just have a good time somewhere, somewhen. Hm. What about ancient Rome? We haven't been there yet."
no subject
"Yes, Julian. Let's go to Rome. Do you want to drive?" Janie gives Julian another brief smile before starting back to her boat.

Ever since she had once given him the key to the boat he has been carrying it with him, so he pulls it out now while heading to the bridge.
no subject
"I'm redoing the insides, so you won't see much. If you want a particular room just let me know."
She disappears quickly into the boat, picking up a few things that she's left out.
no subject
"Hmm. Some nice place with a view would be great. So we can watch the stars."
no subject
"I love watching the starts with you." She says, quietly "I never wanted to be gone for so long."
no subject
no subject
"If I haven't messed my timeline up too much." Janie answers, after a moment. "But when this is over, I think it goes back to normal for me. So we can travel for... as long as you want."
no subject
no subject
"You've got me all to yourself until we return. I wonder how long we can stretch this trip?"
no subject
He smiles while he enters their destination, operating the familiar controls of the boat.
no subject
"I am too." Janie smiles as well. "I'm going to write it down and never forget any of this."
no subject
Having set the course, he looks back at Janie, feeling all excited by now. "Ready to go?"
no subject
"I'm ready. It's nice having someone else drive... I should let you do it more."
no subject
With that, he starts the engines and sets off. To adventure!
