Bed Rest (Open RP.)

Normally, staying in one spot for too long would make Janie restless. For the past week or so, however, she barely got out of bed. There was a walk twice a day, and a shower. The rest of the time was spent sleeping or chatting with a friend.

The events of that evening still went through her mind, and she was sure no one else had forgotten either. She knew Ian hadn't forgotten. Today she slept fitfully, asking for Ian or Kelly whenever she woke. Those two meant so much to her- she had to make sure they were safe.

The stitches bothered her, and she wanted another dose of pain killers, when she realized someone else was in the room with her. After a moment of confusion she plastered a smile on her face and tried to set aside the thoughts that were still in her head.

"Hi..."

((ooc: A regrouping/visit thread at Janie's and Ian's house. Thread jumping and random drop ins are fine :D))

I'll have him come in. John could understand the frustration of being bedridden.

If anyone can rationalize an event like this one it is Dr. Malcolm.

Thank you... What did he say happened?

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-07-26 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
He hasn't spoken to me about it. John had a very distant expression. What I do know of the circumstances is from Muldoon and hearing him talk in his sleep.

[identity profile] a-mind-flip.livejournal.com 2009-07-26 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
There were people after me. They ambushed us, and shot Ian, and then me... and some others. She spoke quietly, as if she didn't want to admit it.

I think it's over with now.

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-07-26 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
Muldoon told me that Dr. Malcolm had spoke to him about killing several people. Hammond resumed spinning the cane between his fingers. I never expected he would have the..hmm. the mindset to kill anyone.

[identity profile] a-mind-flip.livejournal.com 2009-07-26 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
She stared straight ahead for a moment.

He was defending me. It was the only way to stop them.

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-07-26 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Malcolm has a tendency to act without considering the consequences to his person. Hammond looked down. It is an admirable quality.

He will recover. Hammond smiled at Ja'nee. Having you here means a lot to him.

[identity profile] a-mind-flip.livejournal.com 2009-07-27 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not going anywhere. She smiled back at him.

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-07-27 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
Hammond smiled too. He needs someone to make him believe that.

[identity profile] a-mind-flip.livejournal.com 2009-07-27 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know how to do that, other than not going anywhere.

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-07-28 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
You are doing a superb job without knowing.

[identity profile] a-mind-flip.livejournal.com 2009-07-28 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
I'll... keep doing what I'm doing.

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-07-29 08:52 am (UTC)(link)
Hammond was quiet for awhile before speaking again, softly. You are good for him.

[identity profile] a-mind-flip.livejournal.com 2009-07-29 09:00 am (UTC)(link)
She was quiet before answering Thank you, John.

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
It is the truth. Hammond smiled more. He was glad that Ian had found someone who seemed to be taking care of him.

[identity profile] a-mind-flip.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Ja'nee smiled a little. I think he's good for me too.

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
John chuckled and patted her hand. He can be a good man when he remembers to be.

[identity profile] a-mind-flip.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
He's always a good man around me.

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
I've noticed his lack of excessiveness in your presence.

[identity profile] a-mind-flip.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
I think I'd love him no matter how he acted.

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
John laughed heartily at her comment. You do love his very worst.

[identity profile] a-mind-flip.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
It's not all entirely bad.

[identity profile] jp-hammond.livejournal.com 2009-08-04 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
I will refrain from commenting. John still had his usual good humor.
