Phoenix is like that family friend who has been around for a very long time... Not a god parent, but someone just as close. She's a little thankful for what he did in the garage, mostly because she realizes that she doesn't want to be dead. Eventually, she'll be super grateful to him.

She's a little confused that he can't seem to get along with Ian. Her Father, Ian and Phoenix are three of the most important men in her life, but she doubts they can all stand to be in the same room together.

Janie is rather clueless, so I doubt she even knew that Phoenix ever fancied her. She loves that he understands most things about her travel and that she can go to him and talk about things.
