Assumptions?

What did you assume? I'd stick around and work with you on YOUR terms? This isn't five hundred years ago. I won't stick around and wait for someone to say they want to start up a business with me.

Phoenix, you're... my best friend and I adore you, but don't assume anything about me.

Not gonna happen. *He rests his head on hers, the relief that comes with her words flooding through him*

I just want you to enjoy whatever you end up doing, even if it's more than one thing. *Phoenix's voice sounds lighter, and he's smiling* You deserve a little luxury, plenty of fun. Think that's pretty much owed to you. It'll be good. The nightclub.

The nightclub will be a good place for dancing. Drinks for you are on the house... but it's not all I want. That'll be for fun.

*He just grins, and kisses her forehead in reply, letting her go at last*
