A strangely refreshed Janie knocked on Xander's door three times, ready to go with him, and kill things.

It had been quite a while for her, but only eight hours for Xander since she'd trained him on the two weapons. The two of them could do anything if they were together, couldn't they?

She waited patiently, nodding politely to a neighbor.

"Xander, meet my ex. Ex, meet my Xander."

After shooting at him again, Janie looked even more annoyed.

"Why won't you die?"

"Pleased to meet you!" Xander said, waving with his free hand. He jerked the waving hand back down to his side as Janie's ex nearly blasted it off.

"I'm distracting you, sugar tits." He smirked as more shots avoided him. Someone obviously gave him a powerful protection field.

The guy seemed pretty well protected. Xander pointed the energy weapon at the ground near the guy's feet, wondering if he could make enough molten glass to do some damage to him.

Janie saw what Xander was doing, and turned around to see a few people advancing on them. She aimed and fired to vaporizer, realizing it was all a set up.

Xander's weapon had melted earth around the guy's feet, and the ground where he was standing abruptly crumbled, and he fell to his knees in the red, glowing ground.

Giovan screamed something, that probably meant 'you pansy bastard, let's see you fight like a man' but sounded more like 'Ahhh!!'.

That only lasted for a moment, though, because Ori was fast there to rescue him.

Janie continued to fire at the others, stopping them from getting close.

Xander kept fining at burning guy. He didn't know much about him, but he already really disliked him a lot.

Except now, the burning somehow stopped, and Xander was left with two very hard to beat enemies.

"Xander, they're getting closer!"

Xander managed to get off one more point-blank shot at the guy before they were in melee range. He ducked as Ori swung at him. "Little help here!"

"I'm busy?" Janie shouted, as she continued to shoot.

Xander slammed the butt of the weapon against the first body part of Ori he encountered and tried to get out of the way of a knife that had appeared in the guy's hand. "I think I preferred the first half of our date!" Xander called out to Janie.

"I did too." Janie said, firing another blast at the approaching enemies.

Finally, she turned to help Xander.

At a loss for anything else to do, Xander stomped on the guy's foot as hard as he could. His guard down, he took a fist to the face and fell to the ground.

"One down," Xander said.

"He never stays down" Janie said, barreling for Ori and knocking her to the ground. "There's five left that are coming for us. I'm sorry, I didn't know this would be a set up"

"So, what's your strategy for this?" Xander kicked the guy somewhere painful.

"To not get you killed?" She aimed for the five that were coming after them.

"And my goal is to not get you -- " He aimed a kick at Ori as she got up, missed, ended up flat on his back. " ... killed?"

Janie mumbled something, and went after Ori. Both of them were now in a pretty intense fist fight.

Xander scrambled to get the knife the guy had dropped. His hand closed around the hilt, just before he got kicked in the head. "Ow!"

The other five were now very close, one of them so much that he was able to kick Xander in the head.

Luckily, Janie's pistol discharged and vaporized the kicker.

Xander grabbed somebody's leg and stabbed them in the foot. They yelped. " ... okay, this is feeling very Three Stooges, somehow."

"Who?" She asked. Ori was gone, and now Giovan tried punching Janie "This domestic violence nonsense doesn't apply if we broke up!"

Then, she managed to shoot him before he punched her in the face with his good arm.

So,she shot hm again.

Xander struggled to his feet and punched Giovan in the face, hard, which wasn't quite as extreme as shooting him. Did feel good to Xander, though.

Giovan took the punch, and tried throwing one at Xander.

Janie shot him again, and nothing happened.
