RP for Xander or whoever

Lynn looked at the short list of names, and called each of them, only to get an answering service.

Why wasn't anyone home?  She looked towards the bedroom door, knowing her mother was crouched over in the bed.  'Don't call anyone' she'd said.

She tried once more to call everyone, when finally she got an answer.

"Hello?  You have to come here, now!"

"It's also good for fevers and body aches," Xander said helpfully.

If Janie could throw something at that moment, she would. Instead Xander got a glare. Lynn wisely stayed quiet as she walked beside her family.

"Bet you'll get Vicodin."

"Why?" She looked relieved when she saw the doors. The sweet, sweet, doors. "Bet me what?"

"It's a figure of speech, there's no actual wager," Xander said. "Hi," he said to the guy at the ER counter. "She's pregnant and her uterus is unhappy."

Janie picked up one of the masks, and threw it at Xander.

"How many weeks is she?" he asked, sounding pretty bored.

"I don't know. When's your birthdate, Lynn?" The girl gave the guy an answer, and suddenly he was calling upstairs and for someone to come with a wheelchair.

"Wheelchair,:" Xander said with a nod. "Right. Good idea. Amazing that nobody else thought about that."

"I don't want a wheelchair, you bloody wanker!" Janie huffed and puffed.

"It's hospital policy." said the guy, shooting her down. "Do you have her ID?"

"Janie, hand me your ID, please?" Xander asked.

She shoved the bag into Xanders hands, then folded her arms.

Xander rummaged around, found Janie's most accurate ID based on location and date (wisely leaving the glowing-hologram ID in the bag) and forked it over.

The man began typing information in the computer, then slapped a bracelet on her wrist just as the wheelchair came.

"I look fat in that picture!" she referred to the ID as it was getting handed back to Xander, but the guy was already back to playing online games.

"You so do not," Xander disagreed. "You never look fat."

"Yes I do." she sniffled, and they were quickly taken upstairs.

At the end of the process, she was in a bed, hooked up to monitors and a nice IV filled with pain medicine and extra fluids. She'd get an ultrasound once the medication kicked in a little more.

"I want to take you to the 23rd century." she smiled, to Xander

"Yes," Xander said, nodding, eying the sonogram technician. "And maybe after that, Middle-Earth."

"Can we see Legolas and Aragorn? They're hot." she smiled, and spoke like she knew exactly who they were.

Xander rolled his eyes and turned to Lynn. "I think the drugs may have kicked in."

Lynn nodded, and went back to playing a game on her IPhone.

"Then we'll take the time ship and go to the 52nd century so you get to see it, Xander."

The tech tried not to chuckle at the woman. Time ship? Haha.

"Sounds like a plan. Good plan," Xander said. "Is that Tetris?"

"No, it's Doom." Lynn smiled sweetly, then went back to killing things.

"Did you want to know the gender?" asked the tech

Janie smiled. "I'm taking you too. You'll like the lasers."

"It's probably a girl," Xander said to the tech.

"It's a boy." he said, ignoring the crazy lady

Xander nodded and said, "Well, of course it's a ... huh?"

He gave Lynn the side-eye.

"I'm a girl!" Lynn insisted, as Janie babbled something about the 1920's. "Look at it again!"

Xander looked at the sonogram image. "Don't know, that kind of looks like a ... yeah, it's a boy."
