Infomercials = crack dreams
Jan. 22nd, 2011 01:20 am"Are you ready?"
Janie looked up from her bed of wet newspaper, at the dark alley and the tiny figure shrouded in red that stood alone in the distance. Ready. No, it wasn't- not yet. She stood, walking towards the voice.
"No, I've been sleeping. I'm tired." Janie yawned,and stretched, as if to demonstrate that and noticed the white gown, covering her from her neck to her toes. The figure kneeled to the ground, starting to draw on the wet asphalt with a piece of chalk. "Don't!"
She ran, ran from the figure in red, the alley, the newspaper. From the rain. She ran until her legs failed her, and her face met the ground.
"You can't lie to me. It's almost time and you don't have one." The one in red continued drawing, and Janie had to force herself up. Taking one last look around, she launched herself off of the ground, transformed and flew away as a black butterfly.
"Are you ready?" Boomed the television, in the middle of an infomercial. The woman on the screen "Call now, get two for the price of one! But wait, there's more! For $19.95-"
It was a dream, nothing but an odd dream.
"You're almost out of time! Order one now!"
She turned the television off. It was time to check out and go to another hotel.
