The Iyanifa Compound consists of sixteen time travelers (all that they admit to). They have several rules that all of them are required to follow. The penalty for breaking the rules is death, or prison.
1) All travel must be pre-approved.
2) Leave minimal imprints when traveling.
3) Do not tell anyone about travel.
4) Do not alter anything while traveling.
5) No residents are permitted to have children.
6) Do not tell anyone about Ifa.
7) All fraternization must be approved.
8) No one is allowed to be heterosexual.
9) Orishabi may add to or remove rules at any time.
10) Obey Orishabi.
(mun will probably tweak these too)
Janie's birth parents were both Iyanifa. Her parents tried to hide, and were severely punished for what they did. Neither of them revealed that they had a child, until Orishabi used Ifá to discover the sixteenth Traveler.
She was discovered, and taken to the compound to be raised. Janie was told that her mother was killed in a mission and that her father died while she was there. The truth is completly different from what she was told, however.
