Where did you sleep last night - After this
"Mommy?" asked the little girl, as the sun shone peeked through the heavy blackout curtains in the hotel room. Her mother was covered in dirt, and smudged with soot.
"Yes, sweetie? Is it time for me to order breakfast? Do you want pancakes?"
"Where were you last night?" she asked, in an accusing tone. "You promised."
"I needed some time alone. A shower and I'm good as new. Did you go to Grandpa's?"
"No." Janie sighed, Lynn never listened. The child on the other hand, ran, and threw her arms around her mother. "Mommy, you're cold"
"I'm fine, sweetie. It was a little cold last night, but everything's going to be okay. I've fixed it."
Haunting Me -
Everywhere she turned, she could see the cold dead eyes looking at her, asking why he had to die. Janie wanted to ignore it, but she couldn't. The light was gone, the spark she'd fallen in love with years and years ago.
She could hear him talk to her, she could smell him, feel him.
It scared her. Giovan was dead and would never bother her again. The entire relationship (which was mostly a lie) was over.
And that's why he stood in front of her.
"You're dead."
"Sugar, I'm right here. Now, what you mean dumping my body where your Grandma could find it."
"What?" she went cold "Why? I didn't-"
"You sent your little brat to kill me. You and her are going to pay for that, you whore. Now, give me a kiss."
Change (In the house of flies)
He used to be a sweet man, taking her dancing and getting her flowers, and now he was a pest. She wasn't sure when it happened but the relationship was no longer happy, it was almost abusive.
No, it was abusive and she felt worthless.
They were sharing a place right now, after the incident in Oceania because he wanted to keep a closer eye on her. Janie tried her hardest to keep him happy, but he always pestered her about something or other.
Today, he had flowers. She smiled and turned to put them in water when the insults started, then he advanced on her. All she could do was kiss him, please him, wait for the man to decide to leave.
This is what the relationship had become. He wasn't anything close to what he'd been before and she had almost enough of it. That's why, the next morning, he would find her side of the bed empty, and her spot in the closet completely clear.
At Last - after this
She looked up, and smiled. Tonight, she was in the arms of the man that she loved. This was someone she knew would be with her for as long as possible. The stars twinkled, and Janie's heart swelled as everything else in the room seemed to disappear.
The young woman had dreamed about this, for years, and now, she had her head on the chest of a man, who really loved her. When she looked up at him, he smiled. Nothing else mattered at that moment because the two of them were together.
Then, they kissed, and a second later, she was gone.
Storybook Love
"Comics?" she asked, with a grin "Most of those superheroes are jerks"
He looked at the young woman, not sure she was talking to him. She was... well, hot. And talking to him over the many other guys in the store.
"Do you read them?"
With that question, she smiled, and they began a conversation that lasted days. The conversation turned into dates and the dates turned into longer dates. What's the love story? Boy meets girl, they fall in love, boy loses-. It's heartbreaking when a romance seems to end like that.
They had a first kiss while dancing in each others arms, when she disappeared. Decades passed for her, weeks for him. She pined, and tried to survive without her love. He searched for her and did everything in his power to get her back.
It worked, and one day, she came back. Both of them were overjoyed to see each other, but she held back, afraid that what took her would take her away again. What she forgot, is that these love stories had happy endings. She rushed into his arms, and they declared their love.
Now, came time for the ever after.
