Do you tend to get nostalgic during the holidays? Depressed? Giddy? How do the winter holidays make you feel? My answer is no. Holidays aren't important.  I've other things to do.

I've done it before, too many times. It took a lot of learning things the hard way and friends to help me figure things out.

Even then I still do-um, did things that I'm not supposed to. I miss the people who've died, a lot. Going back and talking to them helps but I know it's not healthy and is probably breaking some rule of time travel that I don't know about.

I don't know anything about it but I still think I'd like to go back and see my mother. She wasn't my birth mother but I grew up thinking she was. But then I don't know if I could do it knowing she was going to die so young. So... I don't know. It's probably just as good that I can't do that.

It's usually good that you can't and I really should offer to take you so you could meet her.

You'll want to change whatever you can and feel like shit when you realize that nothing you do helps.

I felt like shit when she was dying and I couldn't do anything. She sure would have a cow if she knew what my life turned out like, though.

Why can't you change anything? Is it a moral thing, or what?

Wouldn't a lot of things change if you were able to help? Things might be small at first but they all add up and before you know it you have an alternate reality.

It's not really a moral thing because honestly I still try to break rules even though it doesn't turn out right, or doesn't work at all. I should say it isn't one of my morals.

I guess so. I mean... yeah. And it was so long ago that... yeah, you're right. It's not a good idea.

I guess you have to be kind of tough to do that. To go back in time and all.
