...The explosion. It must have. The boat is programmed to always finish a trip. To leave, go to a destination, and return. I set it that way so it'd never be lost.

How do you raise a normal kid? I've got no idea and I don't remember the stuff from when I was with Ian. I've gone back and watched but...

Gods. There's a question. Maybe I'm overprotective with Sammy, but .. just love her. Kids need rules, they need to know they're loved. It's hard work I know, but.. routine. Regular routine's good. They need skills for when they're adults, and parents, even little godlings.

Well, she's not had so much in the way of rules - and that's not your fault. So it'll be awkward at first. But it'll get easier once she understands her boundaries.

That's completely normal. I educate Sam myself, gives us time together, and I can make sure it's not mind numbingly boring.

It's really a great thing to do with your own kids. I always did that, school sucks shit. They learn how to interact socially just as well with family and friends.

He really cheers you up. That's good. [There's a pang that the Master's friendship might stop Janie ending her life, and that Phoenix's might not be enough. But he'll use anything he can find to make her see something she can cling to]

There's plenty of Kaldoan settlers here on Earth, if people but knew it. Bound to be a couple of teachers. Educating one's own kids is far more common on our world.
